Is this really free for home users?

Yes. The home scan is free, no account required, no credit card. You provide an email address to receive the report. One scan per IP address per 7 days.

Will the scan break anything on my network?

No. The scan performs passive service detection and checks against known vulnerability databases. Credential testing uses common default password lists and stops at the first match. It does not exploit vulnerabilities or modify anything on your network.

How is this different from Shodan or Censys?

Shodan and Censys show raw scan data for any IP. Sentinel runs a targeted assessment against your own IP and delivers a personalized report written in plain language with severity ratings and step by step remediation instructions.

What happens after the scan?

You receive an AI generated security report via email within 30 to 60 minutes. The report explains each finding, rates the severity, and tells you how to fix it. Scan data is deleted after 24 hours.

Can I scan someone else's network?

No. The free tier only scans the IP address your request originates from. There is no input field to enter a different target. The business tier allows custom targets but requires DNS or admin verification of ownership.
